Susan Fishlock

Susan Fishlock is a compassionate Clinical Social Worker and Therapist, holding qualifications as an LCSW and MSW. She understands that individuals may feel overwhelmed, frustrated, anxious, or depressed when navigating life's challenges. Many people across different life stages face hurdles, and Susan possesses the expertise to guide them through. With a strengths-based approach, she emphasizes recognizing the progress clients have made in addressing their difficulties. Colleagues and clients alike have noted her approachable demeanor, whether discussing a challenging day at work or addressing deeper, long-term issues. Susan is certified and experienced in various areas, including Family Therapy through the Multicultural Family Institute and work with adoptive and foster children and their families in collaboration with Rutgers University. Her experience also extends to supporting victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence through JBWS, as well as aiding children and families impacted by trauma, anxiety, and related disorders. She offers LSW supervision and draws from her broad life experience as a mother, daughter, sister, and wife, navigating multiple life stages. As a first-generation immigrant, Susan recognizes the significance of family, culture, migration, birth order, gender, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status, all of which she integrates into her work with clients. Through her diverse modalities, including play therapy and trauma-focused interventions, Susan aims to provide holistic and effective therapeutic support to individuals, couples, families, and children.
