Welcome to NYC Initiative is dedicated to providing compassionate support to newcomers settling in Orange, NJ, and navigating the bustling city of New York. Our program offers essential resources, guidance, and assistance to individuals and families transitioning to life in NYC for the first time. We prioritize helping newcomers with critical legal services, including initial assessments, know-your-rights education, and referrals to legal aid. Alongside these services, we offer non-legal support such as self-help materials, case management, interpretation and translation, and access to medical and mental health services. Our initiative also ensures that essential needs such as food, clothing, and housing are met, while also assisting with access to public benefits to facilitate a smooth and welcoming transition into the community. We are committed to making the journey to New York a positive experience for everyone we serve.
