Lara Yeager

Lara Yeager, MA, LAC, is a compassionate counselor dedicated to meeting each client as they are, valuing their unique stories and journeys through life. She builds relationships grounded in respect and empathy, helping individuals navigate the complexities of change and personal growth. Lara focuses on instilling positivity and hope, encouraging genuine transformation rooted in authenticity. Her eclectic therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centered therapy, and reality therapy, allowing her to tailor her methods to the diverse needs of her clients. With experience as a mental health case manager in supportive living and as a social work case manager for a non-profit organization, she has developed a profound understanding of the challenges individuals face. Recently, Lara has also delivered in-home therapy for families referred from DCP&P and is certified as a School Counselor, using play therapy techniques effectively. As a member of the Lakeside Counseling Associates team, with offices in Newton and Sparta, she contributes to an organization that has been a pillar of support in Sussex and Warren County's counseling community. Lara is ready to help individuals reach their mental health goals and explore the path to well-being together.
