SNAP-Ed, based in Newton, NJ, is dedicated to empowering individuals and families through comprehensive nutrition and health education. Our program focuses on teaching participants how to make healthy food choices while managing a limited budget, and emphasizes the importance of incorporating physical activity into daily routines. Offering free, accessible classes, we guide attendees in making impactful behavioral changes, including increasing the intake of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, reducing sugary drinks and sodium levels, and maintaining a balanced diet throughout all life stages. SNAP-Ed collaborates with Zufall Health to provide these valuable resources across Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Sussex, and Warren counties, fostering healthier communities one class at a time.
