Yanela G. Stephenson, MSW, LCSW, is an esteemed NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified therapist, bringing over 27 years of dedicated experience in the field of Psychotherapy. She earned her Master of Social Work from the Graduate School of Social Work at Rutgers University. A Systems Therapist by training, Ms. Stephenson has honed her skills in Bowen Family Therapy at the Family Training Institute of New Jersey and has received Structural Therapy training at the Child Guidance Clinic in Philadelphia. Her extensive training encompasses Strategic Family Therapies, Hypnosis, EMDR, DBT, and other innovative models of Psychotherapy. With a specialization in Trauma issues, she has a wealth of experience assisting children with Selective Autism, ADD, and ADHD, as well as navigating the complexities of acculturation and immigration issues, often collaborating closely with Law Enforcement agencies. Throughout her career, she has devoted herself to supporting families and children in unification processes and has prepared Psychosocial reports for specific cases for officials within the State of New Jersey.
