Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors is a transformative parenting skills and advocacy program located in Monroe Township, NJ, designed specifically for Latino parents with children from birth to age five. As a nationally recognized, evidence-based initiative, we equip parents to become their child's first educators and empower them to advocate effectively within the educational system. Our program features ten comprehensive workshops that address essential topics such as nutrition, positive discipline, child development, and school readiness, ensuring that parents understand their vital role in their children's long-term growth and academic success. With options for both virtual and in-person sessions, we invite Latino parents living in Middlesex County and Franklin Township in Somerset County to join us free of charge. Upon completion of the program, participants may also have the opportunity to become facilitators, fostering a cycle of learning and advocacy within the community.
