Special Transportation Program

The Special Transportation Program, part of the Division of Senior Citizens in the Department of Citizen Services, is dedicated to enhancing mobility for Essex County residents aged 60 and older, as well as adults with disabilities aged 18 and over. We offer compassionate, door-to-door transportation services that ensure our clients can access vital resources, including medical appointments, meal sites, grocery shopping, banking, and various personal errands. Committed to providing timely and reliable rides, we invite eligible individuals to schedule their transportation by contacting us between 14 days and 2 days prior to their appointment. Together, we aim to foster independence and support the well-being of our community members in Irvington, NJ.
