Kaitlyn Silagyi

Kaitlyn Silagyi is a dedicated counselor with a profound commitment to mental health. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City, where she was honored with the Bernard Locke award for academic excellence, graduating summa cum laude. Following this, she obtained her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Monmouth University in Long Branch, New Jersey, with a specialization in Addiction Studies. As a credentialed LPC and LCADC Intern, Kaitlyn has impressive experience as a research assistant and intern in rehabilitation settings. Currently, she provides compassionate care as a case manager and counselor for clients grappling with substance abuse, mental health challenges, and dual diagnoses. Her expertise encompasses both group and individual counseling, alongside teaching and lecturing. Kaitlyn employs a trauma-informed approach drawing from eclectic theoretical orientations, characterized by her strengths in unconditional positive regard, fostering acceptance while promoting change and growth, and building trust to create a therapeutic alliance. She is passionate about nurturing individuals’ innate qualities to empower them, instill hope, and enhance their sense of responsibility and control.
