The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hackettstown, NJ, offers a transformative experience for individuals eager to advocate for a just and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this Fellowship trains participants to become impactful teachers and leaders in organic food system education, providing skills that benefit both community and environment. Without tuition fees, we promote accessibility as our Fellows engage in hands-on learning at Allegheny Farm, focusing on diverse crop production, community gardening, and food literacy initiatives. Throughout their six-month residential program followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows collaborate with regional non-profits to drive change by enhancing access to healthy foods and supporting local farmers markets. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the Fellowship running from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to join us in cultivating a better food future.
