Charlie Berman is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor with a wealth of experience in the mental health field. Before dedicating himself to counseling, he served as a Registered Pharmacist in New Jersey and earned his Master's degree in Counseling from Montclair State, where he also shared his knowledge as an instructor for three years. With over 20 years as the Associate Director at The Willow Tree Center, an agency focused on alcohol, tobacco, and drug prevention and treatment, Charlie brings a depth of understanding to his practice. Now operating at Willow Tree Counseling Associates, he provides a range of services, specializing in areas such as anxiety, addiction, and relationship issues, for both individuals and couples. Charlie is committed to assisting families through interventions, especially for those struggling with addiction denial. He is actively involved in mental health initiatives, serving on the Morris County Mental Health and Addiction Services Advisory Board, which oversees municipal alliances addressing substance abuse. A distinctive aspect of his practice is his collaborative work with his wife, a master's level counselor herself, bringing over 35 years of shared expertise to couple's therapy.
