Gavin Jones

Gavin Jones is a compassionate clinical social worker and therapist dedicated to supporting young adults and adults as they navigate a wide array of challenges. He places particular emphasis on issues such as anxiety, life transitions, trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, anger and stress management, employing mindfulness practices and grounding exercises as essential tools in his approach. Gavin has extensive experience in athletic counseling and sports psychology, addressing relationship dynamics, sexuality concerns, and gender and sexual identity. He proudly supports LGBTQ+ adolescents, young adults, and their families and allies. With a sex-positive, queer, kink, and non-monogamy-friendly perspective, Gavin fosters a collaborative environment where individuals feel validated and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives. He utilizes an ecological, multi-theoretical strengths-based approach that respects the intersectional identities of those he works with. Recognizing the societal stigma often associated with seeking help, Gavin is committed to fighting against these negative biases and working to destigmatize mental health treatment.
