Emily Suzuki

Emily Suzuki is a Licensed Professional Counselor who embodies the teachings of Buddhism, recognizing that change is a fundamental aspect of the healing journey. She is dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate the challenges of change and life transitions. Acknowledging that anxiety, depression, and grief often accompany change, Emily fosters an environment where new growth can flourish. With a specialization in attachment and relationships, she understands their crucial role in the healing process. Emily provides guidance through separation and divorce, perinatal and postpartum adjustments, parenting and co-parenting challenges, family conflict, grief and loss, trauma, and racial identity development. She believes that as individuals heal their relationship with themselves, they become more present and engaged in their relationships with others. Utilizing an integrative approach, Emily weaves together Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Attachment and Relational Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Expressive Arts practices. She proudly serves a diverse clientele and continually engages with anti-racist, LGBTQ+, and sex-positive affirmative methodologies. Recognizing that change can feel vulnerable and risky, Emily creates a safe space for her clients to express and explore their feelings. Together, she and her clients work to identify obstacles, clarify emotions, and ultimately empower them toward healing and growth.
