Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors

Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors is dedicated to empowering Latino parents in East Brunswick, NJ, by providing essential parenting skills and advocacy resources for those with children aged 0 to 5. This vibrant program, rooted in the experiences of the community, offers a series of 10 engaging workshops designed to equip parents with the knowledge to be their child’s first teacher, while also advocating effectively for their educational journey. Covering pivotal topics such as nutrition, positive discipline, child development, and school readiness, these workshops can be attended virtually or in person at no cost. By completing the program, parents not only enhance their own skills but also have the opportunity to become future program facilitators. Our services are available to Latino parents in Middlesex County and Franklin Township in Somerset County who are ready to commit to the transformative experience of all 10 workshops. Together, we are building a supportive community where every child has the chance to thrive academically and personally.
