Vincent Viglione

Vincent Viglione is a compassionate and dedicated licensed professional counselor with a PhD and extensive experience in the field. He recognizes that we live in extraordinary times where the rapid pace of life, coupled with unexpected changes, can feel overwhelming. Vincent understands that individuals often face dissatisfaction with their choices and the unique losses that each person experiences—be it related to death, relationships, or self-worth. He believes that seeking help is not a sign of weakness, but rather an act of courage, fully acknowledging our shared humanity. In a safe and non-judgmental environment, Vincent collaborates with clients to navigate their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that may be hindering their happiness. He operates from a person-centered wellness model and employs cognitive-behavioral, dialectical, and person-centered interventions tailored to individual needs. With a rich background in agency, hospice, and crisis work, he brings clinical skills to address real-world issues effectively. Additionally, Vincent serves as a NJ Approved Clinical Supervisor, guiding new counselors toward licensure. His experience extends to academia, having been a professor of clinical mental health counseling at esteemed institutions such as Montclair State University and Fairleigh Dickinson, and currently teaching at Kean University.
