Laura Ellen Hoffman

Laura Ellen Hoffman, MSW, LCSW, is a compassionate clinical social worker and therapist dedicated to establishing strong, therapeutic relationships with her clients. She believes that a safe, non-judgmental, and mutually accountable connection is instrumental to a person’s healing and recovery journey. With a career marked by an embrace of diverse life experiences, Laura has created a dynamic practice that makes individuals feel comfortable in their own skin. Her extensive therapeutic skills include treating conditions related to grief, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, substance abuse, and personality disorders. As an expert in anxiety-related conditions and body-focused repetitive behaviors, such as hair pulling and skin scratching, Laura employs a variety of therapeutic frameworks, including Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to support symptom reduction effectively. Laura is also a contributing member of the International Obsessive Compulsive Foundation panel, showcasing her commitment to advancing knowledge in the field. She works with adolescents and adults alike, drawing on her educational background which includes a B.A. in Psychology and Religion from Temple University and a master’s degree in social work. Notably, she has trained at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a Mulican Fellow in the Child Abuse Referral and Evaluation Clinic, further enriching her therapeutic expertise.
