Heike Zelnhefer

Heike Zelnhefer is a compassionate and skilled Clinical Social Worker and Therapist, dedicated to guiding individuals on their personal journey of self-discovery. Understanding that therapy is deeply personal and every individual carries their own unique story, she creates a safe and nurturing environment for her clients. Her therapeutic approach is solution-focused and strength-based, encouraging clients to harness their inner strengths and focus on actionable steps for change. Heike embraces a diverse clientele, including transgender individuals, and addresses a wide array of issues such as trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, loss, and grief. She believes that while stress is an unavoidable part of life, each person has the power to control their reactions and regain balance in their body, mind, and spirit during therapy sessions. Heike holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from NYU and a Bachelor’s in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she is certified in Hypnotherapy, Psycho-Kinesiology, and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Currently, Heike is advancing her expertise with ongoing studies towards Certification in EMDR (having completed Parts I & II), aromatherapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).
