Shelly Marie Cordas is a licensed professional counselor (MA, LPC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexities of life. Drawing inspiration from the words of Helen Keller, she understands that while suffering exists, the capacity for overcoming it is equally profound. Having personally experienced struggle, physical and emotional pain, and the heartache of loss, Shelly also embraces the beauty of joy, peace, perseverance, resilience, and hope. She believes that difficult seasons bring opportunities for growth and insight, allowing individuals to learn more about themselves and others. Healing is attainable, regardless of the challenges faced, and Shelly is committed to helping her clients discover what that healing journey looks like. With extensive experience working with diverse groups, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, she provides a supportive environment for those grappling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, self-esteem issues, marital challenges, child-parent conflicts, anger management, bullying, grief and loss, as well as postpartum depression and anxiety. Shelly’s approach is characterized by warmth, compassion, and a nonjudgmental stance. Employing integrative, holistic, multicultural, and strengths-based methods, she empowers individuals to uncover the inner wealth and strengths that empower them to face life's hardships.
