The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Tarboro, NC, is dedicated to empowering individuals to transform the food system into a model that promotes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive training, selected Fellows dive into a hands-on, six-month learning experience at Allegheny Farm in Virginia, focusing on sustainable agriculture and food empowerment. By integrating food and ecological literacy into educational programs, our Fellows become advocates for healthier, equitable food access. Upon completing their Fellowship, participants enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to implement their knowledge and drive real change. With no tuition costs, the program strives for accessibility and invites passionate individuals to apply by March each year for a transformative experience beginning in May.
