The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Statesville, NC, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for an equitable food system. Through a comprehensive, tuition-free program, we empower Fellows with hands-on training in organic agriculture and community engagement. Over six months at our picturesque Farm Campus, participants immerse themselves in sustainable farming practices, learn to cultivate diverse crops, and develop vital food system knowledge that promotes social, environmental, and economic justice. After this intensive experience, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits in initiatives such as school garden creation, farmers market support, and community food coalitions. By fostering food and ecological literacy, we strive to strengthen access to healthy food options and inspire meaningful change in our regions. Applications are welcome until March, with experiences typically occurring from May to October.
