This fellowship offers a comprehensive, six-month program at the Allegheny Farm, where selected Fellows engage in organic food system education, work with partners to cultivate a diverse range of crops, and run community gardens. Participants also have the opportunity to conduct educational sessions focused on healthy living, support farmers markets, and promote increased access to nutritious foods. The program champions a socially, environmentally, and economically just approach to food, ensuring all educational components are accessible by charging no tuition. Following their time at the farm, Fellows transition into a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to implement their training and mentor future leaders. Applications are accepted until March, with the program running from May to October.
