The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mooresville, NC, is dedicated to fostering a just food system through hands-on education and community engagement. This transformative program trains and empowers selected Fellows to become influential advocates for sustainable, organic food practices. By providing a tuition-free experience, we ensure that access to our fellowship is open to all passionate individuals. Throughout their journey, Fellows will immerse themselves in organic food system education, cultivate diversified crops, facilitate community gardens, and champion innovative health care initiatives. They will also support local farmers markets and develop essential distribution channels to enhance the community's access to healthy foods. Following an intensive six-month residential experience at Allegheny Farm, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to apply their skills and knowledge. Applications are open until March of each year, with the program running from May to October.
