The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mocksville, NC, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators committed to creating a fair, sustainable food system. This unique program provides a full scholarship for our Fellows, ensuring accessibility as they embark on a transformative six-month immersive learning experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus. During this time, participants receive in-depth training in organic food system education, empowering them to cultivate and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health care education, and maintain community and school gardens. Our Fellows learn to integrate food and ecological literacy into educational activities, advocate for farmers markets, and contribute to local food initiatives, ultimately enhancing access to healthy foods across the region. Following their training, selected Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge in collaboration with local non-profits to make a lasting impact. Applications are open until March each year, with programming typically occurring from May to October.
