The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Leland, NC, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators in sustainable agriculture. We provide extensive training and support to our Fellows, enabling them to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our Fellowship is fully accessible, as we do not charge tuition for our organic food system education programs. Throughout their six-month experiential residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows engage in hands-on learning while growing diversified crops and implementing educational initiatives focusing on health care and food literacy. They also play a vital role in establishing community gardens, supporting farmers markets, and mentoring future Fellows. The journey continues with our Community Action Year, where they apply their skills through partnerships with regional non-profits. Applications are accepted until March each year, with programs running from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to join us in transforming our food systems.
