Our program offers comprehensive training with no tuition fees to ensure everyone has access to this transformative experience. Through hands-on learning at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows engage in organic food system education, cultivate and distribute diverse crops, and implement innovative health care educational sessions. They also maintain community gardens, promote food literacy in schools, and support local farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives. Over a six-month immersive experience followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows collaborate with regional non-profit organizations to put their training into practice and enhance food access within their communities. Applications are welcome until March each year, with the program typically running from May to October.
