Evelyn Toliver is a dedicated pastoral counselor and therapist, ordained Reverend by the state of North Carolina. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Shaw University School of Divinity and has dedicated the past 14 years to providing compassionate pastoral counseling services within the church. Evelyn's counseling approach is characterized by warmth and empathy, empowering her clients to discover their best selves. She believes in meeting clients where they are and acknowledges that they are the experts in their own lives. Together, they work collaboratively to explore strategies and solutions tailored to each individual's needs. Evelyn specializes in helping individuals cope with depression, anxiety, relationship and communication difficulties, grief and loss, life transitions, as well as feelings of overwhelm and low self-worth. In their sessions, clients practice identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to negative feelings, enhancing communication skills, and processing challenging experiences.
