The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Dunn, NC, is dedicated to empowering individuals to become passionate advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through a hands-on, experiential learning environment, this Fellowship supports selected participants with organic food system education while fostering essential skills to grow and distribute diversified crops on market-style farms. Fellows will engage in innovative community initiatives, including maintaining school and community gardens, teaching ecological literacy, and promoting access to healthy foods through farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs. The program is tuition-free, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring leaders in the food space. After a transformative six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, where they apply their knowledge in collaboration with local non-profits to drive meaningful change. Applications are welcomed each year by March, with the Fellowship experience typically spanning from May to October.
