The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Conover, NC, is dedicated to empowering a new generation of advocates and educators committed to fostering a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. Through an accessible, tuition-free program, selected Fellows undergo six months of hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they learn sustainable practices in organic farming and food systems education. This fellowship equips participants with the skills to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement health-focused educational initiatives, maintain community gardens, and enhance food literacy in schools. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with local nonprofits to increase access to healthy foods, support farmers markets, and mentor future cohorts.
