The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Asheville, NC, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders in sustainable food practices. Through a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows engage in hands-on training that emphasizes social, environmental, and economic justice in our food systems. This tuition-free program ensures accessibility and empowers participants to grow diversified crops, establish community gardens, and integrate food and ecological literacy into educational initiatives. As community advocates, Fellows also support farmers markets, develop channels to enhance access to healthy foods, and play an active role in community food coalitions. With a commitment to fostering innovative healthcare education and mentoring future cohorts, the Fellowship creates a transformative impact on the local food landscape. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
