The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in West Plains, MO, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to champion a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Through our unique, tuition-free program, we provide an immersive six-month residential fellowship at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where participants gain hands-on experience in organic farming, food education, and community engagement. Fellows actively contribute to diverse local initiatives, including growing and distributing crops, implementing innovative health care education, maintaining school and community gardens, and promoting food literacy. Following their fellowship, participants engage in a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to enhance food access and support community food initiatives. We invite passionate individuals to apply by March each year for this transformative experience running from May to October.
