The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Wentzville, MO, is dedicated to training and empowering emerging leaders in sustainable food practices. Through a fully funded, hands-on program at the Allegheny Farm, Fellows engage in a six-month immersive educational journey focused on building a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. The Fellowship fosters collaborative partnerships that enable participants to grow diverse crops, support local farmers markets, and implement innovative health-related educational programs. By prioritizing accessibility, we ensure that all candidates can fully benefit from this transformative experience without the burden of tuition. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, applying their learning in real-world settings in collaboration with regional non-profits to enhance community food access and bolster food literacy initiatives. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the experience taking place from May to October.
