The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Warsaw, MO, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators committed to building a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program offers a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where selected Fellows receive comprehensive training in organic food systems without any tuition fees, ensuring accessibility. During their Fellowship, participants not only learn about sustainable farming practices but also engage actively with community partners to grow diversified crops, implement innovative health care education, maintain school and community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy. Additionally, they collaborate on enhancing access to healthy foods through farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives. Following the fellowship, these dedicated individuals participate in a Community Action Year, applying their skills in partnership with local non-profits to effect positive change in their communities. Applications are welcomed annually until March, with the Fellowship typically running from May to October.
