The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Union, MO, offers a transformative opportunity for individuals passionate about creating a more just food system. Through comprehensive training and support, we empower Fellows to become advocates and educators for sustainable agricultural practices that prioritize social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program provides hands-on education about organic food systems, enabling participants to engage in diverse projects such as growing and distributing crops, implementing innovative health education, and maintaining school or community gardens. Fellows also play a crucial role in enhancing food accessibility by developing distribution channels and supporting local farmers markets. Over a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, participants collaborate with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and foster community partnerships. We believe in making this impactful training accessible, which is why we do not charge tuition. Apply by March for a unique experience that runs from May to October, and join us in driving meaningful change in our local food systems.
