Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Sikeston, MO US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Sikeston, MO, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to champion a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. Through our unique program, we provide a comprehensive organic food system education that equips Fellows with the necessary skills to transform their communities. Our participants will have the opportunity to engage in various initiatives, including growing and distributing diverse crops on a market-style farm, facilitating educational sessions for innovative healthcare, maintaining school and community gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into educational settings. Additionally, Fellows will support farmers markets, direct-to-consumer programs, and collaborate with local organizations to develop sustainable distribution channels for healthy food access. This immersive experience includes a six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year focused on practical application and community engagement. We invite passionate individuals to apply by March each year for the program that typically runs from May to October, helping shape the future of food in our communities.
