The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Salem, MO, is dedicated to nurturing future leaders in the pursuit of a just and sustainable food system. Through an immersive six-month program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows receive comprehensive training in organic agriculture, food and ecological literacy, and community engagement. Our Fellowship is designed to empower participants to serve as educators and advocates, equipping them with the tools to grow and distribute diversified crops, maintain community gardens, and support local farmers markets. We firmly believe in making this valuable experience accessible, as we do not charge tuition for our program. After their time at the farm, Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, working alongside regional non-profits to implement their learning and foster healthier food systems throughout the community. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply by March of each year, with the Fellowship program running from May to October, creating a vibrant opportunity for hands-on learning and lasting impact.
