The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Pleasant Hill, MO, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators committed to a just food system. We empower participants through a comprehensive, tuition-free program that combines organic food system education with hands-on experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus. Fellows engage in impactful activities such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health initiatives, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. Our approach emphasizes collaboration with regional non-profits, allowing Fellows to directly address local food access challenges and support community food initiatives. Participants spend six months immersed in residential training, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills and knowledge in meaningful ways. Applications are accepted until March each year for a rewarding experience from May to October, fostering a resilient and equitable food environment.
