Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Nevada, MO, is dedicated to empowering individuals to be leaders in creating a food system that is just and sustainable. Through a six-month immersive program at the Allegheny Farm, selected Fellows receive comprehensive training in organic food systems, community engagement, and ecological literacy. This fellowship promotes accessibility by offering tuition-free education, allowing participants to connect with local non-profit organizations and apply their skills in practical settings. Fellows collaborate on diverse projects including growing and distributing crops, implementing health education initiatives, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing local farmers markets. With a focus on developing equitable access to nutritious food and mentoring future leaders, this program aims to foster a resilient food community in the region. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May through October.
