The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mexico, MO, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive, tuition-free training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in hands-on education about organic farming and develop essential skills to promote food assistance and literacy in their communities. Participants gain valuable experience working with local partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, teach innovative health care strategies, and maintain community gardens. Additionally, Fellows play an integral role in enhancing access to nutritious food by supporting farmers markets and mentoring future leaders in the field. The Fellowship is designed to empower individuals to enact meaningful change, with applications accepted annually until March, and the program spanning from May to October.
