Through our tuition-free program, we offer comprehensive education in organic farming practices, empowering Fellows to grow and distribute diverse crops, mentor future leaders, and foster community gardens. Our participants engage in innovative health education and food literacy initiatives, build distribution networks for healthy food access, and contribute to local farmers markets. This fellowship includes a six-month residential program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, where Fellows collaborate with regional organizations to apply their skills and knowledge in meaningful ways. Applications are accepted until March, with the experience unfolding from May to October, creating a vibrant network of advocates dedicated to food justice in our region.
