Based in Kirksville, MO, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship offers a transformative program that empowers individuals to champion a just and sustainable food system. Participants engage in hands-on training and education, focusing on organic food systems, food justice, and ecological sustainability. Fellows will cultivate skills to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education programs, and support community gardens. Throughout the six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected fellows are equipped to develop distribution channels for healthy foods and engage in mentoring activities for future cohorts. Following their hands-on fellowship, fellows commit to a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to enhance food access and strengthen local food networks. We invite passionate individuals looking to make a meaningful impact in their communities to apply by March for the opportunity to learn, teach, and advocate for equitable food practices from May to October.
