The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Harrisonville, MO, is dedicated to training and empowering passionate individuals to advocate for a fair, sustainable, and integrated food system. Through a unique, hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm, the Fellowship promotes organic food system education while ensuring accessibility by not charging tuition. Participants engage in diverse community initiatives such as growing and distributing crops, implementing health education programs, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. Throughout the six-month residential program followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows collaborate with local non-profits, mentoring future leaders and supporting initiatives that expand access to healthy food. Applications are accepted until March of each year, with the enriching experience taking place from May to October.
