The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hannibal, MO, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators in sustainable food practices. Our program empowers selected Fellows through hands-on training and experiential learning at the Allegheny Farm, where they will explore organic food systems and develop skills to promote social, environmental, and economic justice. We believe in making education accessible, which is why we do not charge tuition for this fellowship. Over six months, participants engage in various initiatives, including growing and distributing diverse crops, running educational sessions for innovative health care, and fostering community gardens. Our Fellows also play a critical role in supporting local farmers markets and mentorship programs, ultimately enhancing healthy food access and ecological literacy in schools. Applications for this impactful experience are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October, allowing participants to deeply integrate their learning into meaningful community action.
