The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Fulton, MO, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. By sponsoring and training committed individuals, this fellowship empowers them to explore social, environmental, and economic justice within agriculture. The program offers a unique, tuition-free learning experience focused on organic food system education, where Fellows will engage in hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm, cultivate diverse crops on a market-style farm, and implement innovative health care education. In addition to maintaining community gardens and supporting farmers markets, they will integrate food and ecological literacy into educational activities while developing channels for increased access to healthy foods. Over a six-month immersive residency followed by a Community Action Year, selected Fellows apply their expertise alongside local non-profits, making meaningful contributions that support community food initiatives. Applications for this transformative experience must be submitted by March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
