The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Eldon, MO, is dedicated to empowering individuals to become effective advocates and educators for a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. This immersive program sponsors and trains Fellows, providing them with hands-on education in organic food systems at AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus. By participating in this fellowship, selected individuals will engage in meaningful activities such as growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and conducting educational sessions that enhance food and ecological literacy. With a commitment to accessibility, there is no tuition fee, ensuring that all passionate individuals can apply to make a positive impact. Following six months of experiential learning, Fellows will transition into a Community Action Year where they can partner with regional non-profits to implement their training and support local food initiatives. Applications are encouraged by March of each year, with the program running from May to October.
