The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Doniphan, MO, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates and educators for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program empowers Fellows through comprehensive, hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm, completely free of tuition, ensuring accessibility for all. Over a six-month immersive experience, participants gain valuable skills in organic food system education and community engagement, including growing diversified crops, implementing innovative health education, and supporting local food initiatives like farmers markets and community gardens. After this transformative period, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, where they apply their knowledge and skills in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by March; our program runs from May to October each year, fostering a deep connection between food, health, and community well-being.
