The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Aurora, MO, empowers passionate individuals to become advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. This transformative program offers comprehensive training in organic food systems education without charging tuition, ensuring that opportunities are accessible to all. Fellows engage in hands-on experiences at AMI's Allegheny Farm, where they learn to cultivate diversified crops and support initiatives such as community gardens, health education sessions, and farmers markets. Over six months, participants focus on practical applications that promote food literacy and enhance access to nutritious food within local communities. Following this immersive learning experience, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to further their impact. Applications are accepted until March of each year, with the Fellowship running from May to October.
