Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Saint Joseph, MI, nurtures a new generation of educators and advocates dedicated to creating a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. By providing a no-cost, immersive training program at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, the Fellowship promotes accessible education in organic food systems. Participants engage in dynamic opportunities such as growing and distributing diverse crops, running educational health initiatives, maintaining community and school gardens, and fostering food literacy. With a six-month residency followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows partner with local non-profits to apply their knowledge and make a tangible impact in the community. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May through October, empowering individuals to champion healthy, equitable food access throughout the region.
