April Montague is a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to supporting adolescents through the unique challenges of their teenage years. She understands that being a teenager today involves navigating a multitude of demands from school, friendships, family, sports, and the pressures of social media. During this critical period, teenagers are exploring their identities, setting goals, and defining their futures, a process that can elicit a wide array of emotions. April recognizes that these struggles often present as anger, depression, anxiety, or high-risk behaviors, which can be concerning for parents. At Soul and Psyche, her mission is to guide teens through various therapeutic modalities, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Counseling. By cultivating a space where teenagers feel safe, heard, and understood, she teaches essential stress management and communication skills that empower them to take control of their lives.
