Based in Hudsonville, MI, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators in the field of sustainable agriculture and food justice. This innovative program empowers selected Fellows through comprehensive, hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm, focusing on developing a food system that respects social equity, environmental stewardship, and economic viability. With no tuition fees, we aim to make this transformative experience accessible to all. Fellows engage in diverse activities, including cultivating organic crops, running educational health programs, and maintaining community gardens, all while enhancing food and ecological literacy in schools. By actively participating in farmers markets and community food initiatives, they help expand access to healthy foods across the region. Our Fellowship features a six-month immersive learning experience followed by a Community Action Year, where Fellows apply their skills through collaboration with local non-profits. Applications are open until March each year, with the program taking place from May to October.
