The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Grand Haven, MI, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Through practical, hands-on training, our Fellowship empowers individuals to be leaders who promote social, environmental, and economic justice in food systems. We offer a no-cost program that includes immersive education in organic farming and food justice, allowing Fellows to engage in meaningful work such as growing diversified crops, implementing innovative health care education, and supporting school and community gardens. Additionally, our Fellows play a crucial role in enhancing food and ecological literacy and contribute to local farmers markets and community food coalitions. Over a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, selected participants gain invaluable skills by partnering with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
