Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Davison, MI, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to be advocates for a sustainable food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our comprehensive program, we offer hands-on organic food system education, enabling selected Fellows to gain practical experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus. They engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, running community gardens, and facilitating educational sessions focused on food and ecological literacy. The Fellowship also supports initiatives like farmers markets and direct-to-consumer distribution to increase access to healthy foods. Our commitment to accessibility means there is no tuition for participants, making it possible for passionate individuals to contribute to community food efforts. The program consists of six months of residential training followed by a Community Action Year where Fellows actively apply their skills with local non-profit organizations, fostering lasting impact in the regional food landscape. Applications for this transformative experience are accepted until March each year, with activities taking place from May to October.
